Dr. Bowen grew up in Helena, Montana, and attended the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, SD. She became an eye doctor upon graduating in 1992 from Southern California College of Optometry and completed her residency in Ocular Disease at Omni Eye Specialists in Denver. Following her residency in 1994 she purchased an optometry practice here in Greeley, which developed into the current See Life Family Vision Source.

Dr. Bowen proudly served on the Colorado Optometric Association Board of Trustees for 7 years, holding the office of President during 2003-04, and she currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Optometric Association, the fourth Coloradoan in the organization’s 100+ year history to do so.  This big commitment keeps her busy traveling to represent optometry 80-100 days each year.

Dr. Bowen was honored as Young Optometrist of the Year in 2000, and as Colorado’s Optometrist of the Year for 2012. She has maintained Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry since 1995. In 2013 Dr. Bowen became one of the first optometrists in Colorado to become Board Certified in optometry.

Her hobbies & activities include significant church involvement, P.E.O., Scroll & Fan, Kiwanis Club of Greeley, and involvement in the Greeley arts community. She and her husband, Doug, who is the Administrator at Christ Community Church, have been singing members of the Greeley Chorale since 1993. They are proud parents of two college-student sons and enjoy time with family through music, skiing, walking, and traveling, especially to the ocean!

Dr. Mearsha, a Colorado native, attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and graduated from Colorado State University in 1993. He then continued his education at Pacific University, College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. At Pacific University, he completed his doctorate in Optometry, graduating with honors in 2000.

Dr. Mearsha has a special interest in Orthokeratology (OrthoK). OrthoK is the science of reshaping the cornea of the eye, without surgery, to improve vision and virtually eliminate the need for day-time contact lenses and glasses. He is CRT (Corneal Refractive Therapy) certified. He actively practices Myopia Control and specializes in difficult-to-fit contact lenses including Scleral and Gas permeable.

Dr. Mearsha is a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (IAOMC), a member of the Colorado Optometric Association and is currently a member of the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Mearsha has a strong interest in developmental optometry and determining how using vision therapy can improve classroom performance for students, as well as increase performance for athletes in a variety of sports. As a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and American Optometric Associations Sports Vision Section he is able to stay on the leading edge of new and exciting advances in the area of Vision Therapy.

Dr. Mearsha resides in Greeley, and in his spare time he enjoys golfing, camping, reading, home projects and family activities with his wife, Susie, and their three wonderful children.

Dr. Ma received her undergraduate education from Colorado State University with a bachelor's degree in Biology. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry (OD) from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. There she focused on service as an ambassador for the university and by volunteering for the Special Olympics. She also worked as a member of AMIGOS Eye Care, which helps to provide quality eye care in elementary schools, and underserved communities both locally and abroad.

Her training has provided her with a broad range of experience as she interned with honors at Omni Eye Specialists for ocular disease, a surgical co-management center, and a United States Air Force clinic.

Dr. Ma seeks to serve the eye care needs of adults and children alike, with a special interest in conditions like dry eye, contact lenses, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes exams, LASIK and cataract evaluations, and emergency eye care.

Although a Hawaii native, Dr. Ma has traded her hula skirt and surfboard for hiking boots and a snowboard and now calls Colorado her home. She is an active member of the Colorado Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She and her boyfriend, Kush, enjoy cooking, camping, snowboarding, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Ma is excited to care for our patients here at See Life Family Vision Source!
